A photographer captures still moments, whether candid or posed as a single frame. A filmmaker captures live video and audio of candid, posed, real moments and tells a story whilst editing to music, sound effects, audio of captured speeches/vows. Only through video can you hear the laughs of your day, listen to the emotional speeches again gifted by your loved ones, and re-live your vows year after year.

Alex Kennedy films includes a 4 minute highlight film with every basic package. No matter the need, packages are customizable and final videos can be increased to 15-20 minutes along with separate add on edits of the entire ceremony, speeches, dances, or you can even purchase everything that was shot on your wedding day called RAW footage.

We license our music through a few different sites including MusicBed, Artlist.io, and Soundstripe. Due to copywright reasons, we don’t take music requests unless the couples can personally pay for a license that can be used for wedding film purposes. We are very careful when selecting music that properly fit your story and our style to elevate your love and personality through the film.

Alex is based in Phoenix, AZ and offers packages for domestic and international travel when booking personal packages. AK Films team packages may already include travel in the base price depending on your wedding location.

Typically, a wedding trailer is delivered within 7 days of your wedding to give you a sneak peek of your special day and get you and your guests hyped for the final film. Your full wedding film and additional edits will be delivered within 12 weeks.

When it comes to video, we are all about motion, emotion, and candid/raw moments. We guide you through the booking process and get as much information as we can to ensure we know when and where to point our cameras. With this, we create our own special itinerary that has a combination of specific shots you requested as well as the traditional shots during ceremony/reception. All we ask is that you allow us a few minutes here and there to direct you both as we envision your final edit. Our couples have been great in allowing us to get cool shots like throwing the groom in the air, top down drone shots of them laying on the grass, and even having couples ride in on horses.

Absolutely! We offer 3 base tier packages as only a starting point but each package can be customized to your unique wedding needs. We have over 20 package addons as well as additional filming days, videographers, or hours that can be added to any package.

A retainer fee is a non-refundable payment that reserves your wedding day and guarantees that a filmmaker will be there for your event. We turn away other potential couples in order to fulfill our desire to give you our utmost attention and care to your project.

Creating a wedding film that truly takes you back to your special day takes years of training and mastering storytelling through the eyes of a lens. We bring with us expensive audio, lighting, camera equipment, and years of experience to ensure we vividly capture the once in a lifetime moments. We invest into high-quality and reliable gear as it creates efficiency (less setup time more shots captured), dependability (our cameras create a live backup of all footage), and movie quality (we film in 4k resolution and capture amazing sound quality of your vows/speeches).

We then carefully sift through all captured footage and take substantial amount of hours to compile everything into your love story. We combine licensed music, sound effects, and your vows/speeches into a cohesive and well thought out mini-movie that represents your love story and personalities, all while carefully color grading every clip and delivering in a media format that retains the best image quality.

Lastly, we maintain great business practices like carrying insurance on your wedding day for worst-case-scenarios and providing a platform to view all of your films when they are finished.

Unfortunately, the knot and wedding wire charge us creatives an arm and a leg to be on their platforms. This would then force us to add that charge somewhere in our packaging. We prefer to do business differently, by allowing other vendors and couples that we have worked with closely to refer us as we trust in our brand and our work to be a reflection of the kind of filmmakers we are. This inspires us to go the extra mile in creating a relationship with the other professionals on your wedding day as well as blowing your socks off with your wedding film in hopes that we would be a reference to other potential couples.

Team Packages: We have personally vetted and interviewed a select amount of videographers all around the US to work with us in capturing your special day. They are required to meet our personal standards of filmmaking and are a great option for couples that are on a tighter budget but still want a high quality film. The captured footage is delivered to us and we edit your films to our style.

Personal Packages: Alex brings his personal years of experience and professional training through a college education in Film Studies as well as his expertise in customer service to your wedding. Alex prides himself in creating an unforgettable day and is physically there to ensure that everything relating to videography runs smoothly. After working with many vendors and even assistant/lead shooting for other wedding film companies, they are consistently blown away with the knowledge, experience, and friendly attitude that Alex brings to the table. It takes a certain trained eye to understand proper lighting, composition, exposure, all while capturing once in a lifetime moments. As a bonus, it helps to physically have the one editing the film also there to shoot it.
